At All Avenues Dog Training, we focus on providing professional dog training services that cater to the innate instincts of hunting and retrieving breeds. 

All Avenues is owned and run by Karen Wilson. Karen works her own dogs on a local shoot but also has a real passion for helping pet owners train and understand their pet dogs. She has worked with dogs since leaving school and has many years experience with different breeds of dog.

Lots of families choose a working or gun dog breed as a family pet and may not realise that their dog needs a certain type of training or work to be fulfilled and calm.

Do you have a spaniel or spaniel cross that dashes off over the horizon?

Does your dog completely ignore you when out on walks, while showing too much interest in anything and everything else?

These are just a few issues that are common in gun dog breeds that live as pets. This doesn’t mean they can’t make excellent pets, however it does point to a dog that is a bit bored, unfulfilled and likely frustrated.

Being an Accredited Pet Gundog Instructor means that Karen has completed a extensive 18 month course, covering both theory learning and practical experience. Karen studied under the mentorship of Lez Graham MA, author of the best selling series of books, The Pet Gundog, The Pet Gundog Puppy and The Advanced Pet Gundog. 

This means that potential clients can trust that Karen has a true understanding of your  gun dog and has a breed-appropriate approach, fostering a strong bond between owners and their beloved companions. Training has a common sense approach and brings positive outcomes for clients and their dogs. 

In addition to the coveted APGI status Karen holds OFQUAL level 3 certificates in Canine Training and Behaviour and Canine Nutrition.
